Historic Waterford is the main boating intersection where the Hudson River meets the Mohawk River/Erie Canal and Champlain Canal. Come explore this gem of an area and paddle up to Horseshoe Falls around Peebles Island. Paddle next to Lock 2 and see all the beautiful boats lined up at the Waterford Harbor Center waiting to enter and/or exit the Flight of Locks. Stop into town for lunch, visit the farmer's market on Sundays, or take a hike over at Pebbles Island. So much to paddle and explore in this great little area! (If you're feeling adventurous, book our one way Flight of Locks tour - this is a kayak adventure to add to your bucket list!) |
